Long time

Wow,
Time has surely flown by.

I apologize for not being here in the last year.  Much has happened and much will continue as we all know.

The boys continue to grow and bring laughter and tears.  David is almost 4 (this coming April) and is fully engulfed in the three year old mentality.  Jon is growing as he strives hard at school and we spend time together.

Stressors.......

How do I reduce stressors in my life?
No Clue...

This weekend was a Spiritually charged power weekend with Tony Evans and 4500 of my closest friends.... With sadness mixed with joy, One brother went to be with his Savior Saturday morning.
I feel blessed I was able to help in getting the emergency teams where they needed to be.

I also found out that one of my Great Nieces will need extended care for the rest of her life as she has not progresses past the ability of a 5 year old, and she is now 10 years old. She is a beautiful and amazing little girl I love and cherish. I will be praying for her for the rest of my life.

I was blessed to spend time with Dad yesterday with the boys. Today he went into the hospital for abdominal pain. (I guess Taco Bell was too much for him.) Add to that the other changes in our family's lives, and the stressors of the last few days has been a lot.

I did get some relief today. A certain man I know sent me an email saying he felt blessed I was able to be there Saturday. And he was thanking God for me being a Champion for the fatherless (orphans). I cannot stress enough to say, God is the champion... I am one of His tools he uses.

Fun With David

Wow time flies.

David is now21 Months and a handful. Yesterday he dumped a relatively new Popcorm tin on the floor. Not one of the small ones mind you.... A Full 6 Gallon tin! We hade eaten about an inch or so of the popcorn as a family. ALSO...
Today he took off in Kohl's on Diane. Needless to say it was a bit scarey!

Such a change

I can't believe that it has taken me so long to write again.
I has been a wild ride, as David is his brothers greatest fans, and antagonists.

David is nothing like Jon, except that they are brothers and like trains.

My boys run me ragged. They keep Diane shuddering at every turn and crash.

I love them both, but I have one question... How do I get David to sleep on his own?

Home and adjustment

Wow... Home with baby boy number 2. David is now 11 months old, and a joy to have. He is generally happy and easy going. That said, Jonathan is having a hard time adjusting to the new addition to the family. Diane and I are having a hard time as well, but mostly with David not sleeping on his own yet. If we could only get him into a crib or a different bed.
Any suggestions?

Subtle reminder

God reminded me of who he was as we plan and prepare for Davids arrival.

Ephesians 2: 8-9 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.

We also cannot take credit for anything that happens as we move along in our adoptions. Only God can make things move smoothly and I thank him daily for the two boy I now have.

Exhaustion

Wow, who knew it would be so tiring to plan airfare and hotels in Taiwan. We have great help from a wonderful agent Todd. He has been patient, and calming when we are trying to grasp where things are at.

One thing I have learned. Jonathan is very resilient when it comes to Daddy and Mommy being tied up with travel things. I think he has earned a trip to Monkey Joes.

I also learned that I need not be afraid when thinking about how things will be shortly.
"He [Jesus] said to them, "It is I; don't be afraid." Then they

Our 'boat' is getting David home right now.

Coming soon

I know I may have used this title before. But I can hardly wait to bring home my second little boy.
There are so many things to teach him, and learn from him.
When we travel to Taiwan to get him, I hope to be able to do a lot of cultural things. Learning about the culture and food. I want to bring him home pieces of his heritage, and get some more for Jonathan.

Look out Nemo Burgers... I am gunning for you!
